relentless pursuit of high standards

Our school is dedicated to the proposition that every child should be inspired to achieve extraordinary success, by instilling in them a love for learning, a relentless pursuit of high standards and respect for core values in line with the very best of our British education heritage.

Headmaster’s Welcome

Families often comment on the distinctive atmosphere of the school when they visit: calm, purposeful, and conducive to learning. For our younger children, this means a nurturing and inspiring start to school life, where curiosity is encouraged through exploration, outdoor learning, fresh air, and time spent in the forest trails and natural surroundings that form such an important part of our environment. For older students, it means a focused and supportive setting, free from unnecessary distraction, where they can work with purpose, think independently, and prepare seriously for examinations and future university pathways.

Our partnership with parents is central to the life of the school. Open communication and mutual trust allow us to work together in supporting each child’s progress, both academically and personally.

The best way to understand any school is to experience it for yourself. I warmly invite you to visit us, meet our staff and students, and gain a true sense of the atmosphere and values that define The British School of Vilnius.

Yours sincerely,

Dean Moore
Headmaster

It is a pleasure to welcome you to The British School of Vilnius.

Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions a family can make. Like many parents, I believe academic results matter greatly, but I also understand that finding the right environment for your child is just as important. You want your children to be known as individuals, to feel secure, and to develop the confidence and resilience they will need in an increasingly challenging world.

At The British School of Vilnius, we offer a close and supportive community where relationships matter. Our students are known well by their teachers, and this allows us to provide the guidance, encouragement, and challenge that each child needs. We believe children achieve their best when they feel understood, supported, and valued.

We follow the globally recognised British curriculum, providing a clear and structured academic pathway from the Early Years through to GCSEs and A Levels. Alongside strong teaching and high expectations, we place great emphasis on developing independence, resilience, and a genuine sense of responsibility for learning.

the schools trust board

The British School of Vilnius is chartered by The Schools Trust, a United Kingdom school governance body. The Trustees ensure the highest standards are met in all aspects of school life. This includes academic performance, employment practices, quality of facilities and the promotion of general well-being within the school community and is responsible for the school’s policies. Trustees also provide guidance and support to the Headmaster who is responsible for the day-to-day management of the school.
