School Bus Service

The British School of Vilnius provides a safe, reliable, and convenient transport service for our students. By reducing the number of private car journeys to and from school, the service also contributes to a greener, more sustainable community.

Our school buses are operated by Kautra, a well-established and reputable transportation company with many years of experience. Kautra runs a range of passenger and school transport services across Lithuania, including several in Vilnius, and is a trusted partner of BSV.

Bus Service Options

To meet the needs of our families, we offer two convenient transport options:

  • Door-to-Door Service This option provides a full service, collecting students from their residential address (or other convenient location) in the morning and returning them safely at the end of the school day. It offers families convenience, ensuring that pupils arrive at school on time and travel home comfortably.

  • Express Shuttle Service Our express route offers a quick and efficient alternative for families travelling via central Vilnius. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes, with limited designated stops in Antakalnis that provide excellent connections to the rest of the city - making onward travel simple and flexible for students and parents alike.

Routes and Flexibility

Our routes cover most residential areas in and around Vilnius. They are planned according to the residential addresses of enrolled students and can be adjusted during the school year, where possible, to best accommodate families and ensure the maximum convenience.

Safety and Supervision

Each bus is accompanied by a designated Bus Monitor, a member of BSV staff who supervises the journey. The monitor ensures that students remain safely seated, behave responsibly, and travel in a calm and positive environment throughout the journey.
