STAFF PROFILE - TEACHER
BENJAMIN COTTAM
“I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT THE STUDY OF HUMANITIES DISCIPLINES.”
I graduated from the University of Lancaster with a BSc in Geography before completing a Master’s in Resource and Environmental Management. Before training to become a teacher, I spent time volunteering in Nigeria and Iceland, as well as working in the charity sector in the UK. My teaching career is varied, having worked in England at a boarding school called St Georges, before embarking on an international career in Latvia at the International School of Riga. I moved on from Latvia in 2020 and have spent the last five years working as Humanities Coordinator at Cambridge International School in Bratislava. I am passionate about the study of Humanities disciplines and believe that both Geography and History are crucially important in understanding the processes behind how the world functions, both in the present and the past. I am looking forward to exploring Vilnius and joining the vibrant community at BSV.
