I graduated from the University of York with a BA (Hons) in History before completing my teacher training through Teach First and qualifying as a History teacher. Alongside my teaching career, I am about to complete an MA in Contemporary History and International Politics at the University of York, where my research focuses on the history of education and the relationship between schools, teachers and society in twentieth-century Britain.

Since beginning my career, I have taught History to students aged 11–18 and have held a variety of leadership roles, including leading both History and Religious Studies departments. I am passionate about helping students develop a deeper understanding of the past and believe that History is at its most powerful when it connects people, ideas and events across different times and places. I love helping students see how historical stories continue to shape the world around us today and provide context to the challenges we now face.

I am excited to be joining the British School of Vilnius and becoming part of a community in a city with such a rich and fascinating history. I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for History with students and encouraging them to think critically, ask challenging questions and develop their own interpretations of the past.

When I’m not teaching or researching, I enjoy running, playing and watching football, particularly when Peterborough United are doing well. I love reading, especially classic American Literature, and travelling to explore historical sites.
