I aim to equip students to see maths through a clear lens and with a confident eye. 

My academic background is in Law and Mathematics, which I studied at the London School of Economics and the University of East Anglia respectively. My teaching experience is in the UK, most recently teaching Law and Mathematics in a grammar school in Kent. 

Maths is an exciting subject to teach as it is both incredibly useful and beautiful: useful in how it underpins scientific exploration and technological innovation and beautiful in the elegance of its proofs. 

I have an equal love of words and symbols, and harness this to translate mathematical ideas into the forms that best support student understanding. 

About Mr Burr

In my free time I enjoy reading Slavonic literature, playing chess and exploring the countryside on my bicycle. I also have a fascination with the world's oceans and love to go whale watching on occasions.
