Geography

A-Level

Exam Board: Cambridge | Syllabus Code: 9696

Overview

This course is ideal for students who are curious about the world—how it works, how people interact with it, and how we can respond to global challenges. If you enjoy both scientific and human-focused topics and like working with data, maps, and case studies, Geography could be a great choice.

What will you study?

A-Level Geography explores both physical and human geography. It includes:

  • Physical geography – such as hydrology, coasts, weather and climate, or natural hazards

  • Human geography – including population dynamics, migration, urbanisation, and global development

  • Environmental management – studying sustainability, resource use, and human impact on the environment

You’ll also learn how to interpret maps, satellite imagery, statistics, and other types of geographical data.

Geography suits both science-minded and essay-focused students—it bridges the two.
