Drama

Optional

Exam Board: Cambridge | Syllabus Code: 0994

Overview

IGCSE Drama pupils explore drama as both a practical and academic subject, balancing performance skills with critical understanding. Through a range of individual and group activities, pupils develop confidence, creativity, communication skills and an appreciation of how drama is created, performed and evaluated. The course encourages learners to work collaboratively, respond imaginatively to stimuli, and reflect thoughtfully on their own work and the work of others.

Pupils study how meaning is communicated through performance and design choices, and how drama can be shaped to engage an audience. They are assessed on both their practical application of drama skills and their ability to analyse and evaluate live theatre and devised work.
