Overview
This course is ideal for students who enjoy problem-solving, logical thinking, and working with numbers. If you liked IGCSE Maths and want to deepen your understanding, particularly with an eye on science, engineering, economics, or computing, A-Level Maths is a strong choice.
What will you study?
The course builds on IGCSE content and introduces more advanced concepts.
You’ll study a combination of:
Pure Mathematics – including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and functions
Probability and Statistics – analysing data, understanding risk, distributions, and interpreting trends (important for sciences, economics, and social sciences)
A-Level Maths is challenging and fast-paced—regular and independent practice and learning is essential. Strong algebra skills from IGCSE are a must.

Paper 5: Probability and Statistics 1

Paper 4 or Paper 6: Probability and Statistics 2 or Mechanics 1
Future Pathways
